doorway

who are you standing there
at the doorway to my dreams
did i call you
conjure you
cast your breath and beat
in the inescapable word

you seem to smile

my stomach muscles tighten
as i strain to look away
but remain
riveted, held hostage
rent between two worlds or
is it three

your hair flies a little in the wind

don’t turn away, i call out in my head
my fingers move on flattened type
the cursor blinks
the curse
catches my throat, the tunnel darkens
are you still there?

your breath shatters the dark

…………………………………………………………………………………………………

words floating through me this morning. a whisper of people known, not known, unknown.

the seo analysis of this page gives it a clear fail. i am relieved.
