Something in the giggles of a little girl
Sends all worries into a twirl
Something in her wonderful smile
Soothes the tempers raging awhile
Her colourful frills do the jig
Swiveling around in the form of a fig
Innocence and delight in her dance
Heart turns buoyant, watching her prance
Cute and cuddly, a little girl can be
Forgetting the world in her company
Spending time with her is a blessing
Her non-stop chatter is the topping
congratulations on your first poetry on this site di. very happy sweet poem. The more I grow older the more I get the feeling the world is not fair to girls, but someday someplace there giggles will remain safe.
Thanks Rhea. Though I later realised that I did write some verses in some Epic posts. But yes, as a separate article, this is the first on wb. 🙂
I agree Rhea. The world has never been fair to girls. All over the world this discrimination has been in full force, since ages. This happy, giggling, dancing in gay abandon little girl is seen only in fewer places. There must be more. It is such a bliss to be with them. The world would be in such a better and beautiful place, if they are allowed to be themselves. But sadly, sanity and clarity of issues, is a rare component in the society.
loveD your poem all thebest
Hello Nirupama. Thank you so much for leaving a comment. Glad you loved it. 🙂
the visual is pretty, the peom made me grin and drift off… there is such strength and don’t care in a child’s smile, especially a little girl’s.
Thanks Indi. Oh the visual, I was so unsure if I could get it right, when I started to draw it. Managed somehow. 😀
Yes Indi. It is a beautiful world in the little girl’s company, isn’t it? She really brings out the happier side hidden inside, removing all sad, worried and tensed ones in the way. 🙂
I loved it ,there something magical of little girls ,they are so cute and petite ,I love to go shopping for little girls clothes they are so feminine and cute ,
Thanks Archana. Ya, there are so many cute cute dresses available nowadays, isn’t it? My little girl has grown now but I still love to take a peep at those whenever we go shopping
Oh this so innocent, I got lost in my own childhood.
Thanks Keka.:-)
