A long rainy night

I stepped onto the verandah
And felt the change in the air
A cool, mystic feeling
Had spread everywhere

A familiar sense of joy
Erupted in my heart
Little raindrops had started
Falling on the garden path

A breezy night it was
With a sparkling sight
As the falling droplets
Glittered in the garden light

After a very long summer
I had a relieving sigh
Cheering with utmost glee
I enjoyed the long rainy night
